The People

Robert P. Anderson (who also goes by Bob and/or Andy) was graduated from Cal in 1967 with a BS in chemical engineering.  He worked as an engineer for a few years then went back to school at night and received his JD from San Francisco Law School in 1979.  After opening Anderson and Drossel in 1980, both he and Norlen realized that many areas of law have tax aspects.  So they went back to law school part time, and received LL.M.’s in tax from Golden Gate Law School in 1986.

He is a member of the California State Bar, American Bar Association, Alameda County Bar Association, and the Berkeley-Albany Bar Association (Past President).He has been and is an officer and director of numerous bar, tax, and other associations.  He publishes various articles and is a frequent speaker on tax and estate planning matters in Alameda County.

For recreation Bob sings in various choruses in the Bay Area, is a member of the Berkeley Lions Club, and enjoys time with his four grown children, all of whom live or spend significant time in the Berkeley area.

Elizabeth C. Rubin joined Anderson & Drossel in December 1982 as a legal secretary.  In addition, she manages many of the day to day functions in the office and is a Notary Public.
